Captain Haneef (Vr.C) Foundation

The organization is founded in the memory of late Capt.Haneef Uddin of 11th Battalion, The Rajputana Rifles. He attained martyrdom in Turtuk (now renamed as sub-sector Haneef Uddin) on June 6th, 1999, in operation Vijay of the Kargil War. Captain Haneef Uddin was awarded Veer Chakra posthumously for the courage and valor he displayed while on duty. The organization aims to work for the socio-economic development of the underprivileged masses and promotion of art and culture.

Currently, the foundation focuses on three projects viz. education (Samarth), music (Swarah) and a pre primary school named Daisy Chain. Captain Haneef (Vr.C) Foundation successfully achieved their set goals through providing non-formal education and providing a proper education support system. The foundation is planning an expansion spreading their wings towards environmental issues.  

A lot of cultural events including dance and music are held by the foundation. Capt. Haneef (Vr.C) Foundation has been actively working for the welfare of underprivileged section of the society since its inception in 1999.

Bond Street Theatre

Bond Street Theatre was founded in 1976 by a group of physically skilled and socially concerned actors and musicians. The ensemble’s method was shaped by their diversity of techniques and their mission motivated by their passion to be useful in this world. 

The company creates innovative works that address social and environmental issues, and uses the performing arts as humanitarian outreach and a tool for education and healing. Their work takes them to refugee camps, areas of conflict and post-war environments. They collaborate with local artists to enjoy the benefits of artistic exchange and promote the value of the arts in shaping a peaceful future.

Bond Street Theatre continue to train it’s members in a wide variety of performance arts from around the world, selecting the gestures, rituals, symbols, and games which give life its shape and dynamics, and complementing them with striking theatrical forms. As a result, they have the diversity to present innovative, provocative theatre work as well as popular forms. Each year, the company reaffirms its mission to reach the widest variety of audiences, advance the quality of the theatre arts, and promote theatre’s relevance as an instrument for healing and world peace

Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya

The Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya (KSV), located in Kalkeri, Dharwad district, Karnataka, provides a musical and academic education to one hundred and sixty children. In addition, food, accommodation, health care and clothing are also provided, and everything is free. There are no fees at all. 

Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya empowers, supports and encourages children from socially marginalized and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to realize their full potential and attain a better life. This is done through an intensive and comprehensive educational program of academics and music which is undertaken in a peaceful rural residential setting.

Through their achievements at KSV the students will be in a position to attain more meaningful livelihoods, thus breaking the cycle of persistent poverty and creating a better future for themselves and their communities. Through their music the children will contribute towards the conservation and diffusion of India’s vast musical heritage. Currently at KSV there are 14 students who are studying higher education courses.
