Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes

Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes (EEIP) is a not-for-profit European energy policy platform with aim to encourage informed discussion on efficient energy use in industry and exchange of best practices. EEIP facilitates a cross-industries and cross-technologies dialogue, involving manufacturers of energy efficient equipment and systems, energy service companies, with the European Union policy makers. 

EEIP is a free membership platform.

EEIP is platform for Business and Policy in Europe. It facilitates an open and inclusive cross-industries and cross-technologies dialogue with a purpose of better energy efficiency policy and complements existing engagement and exchange channels between stakeholders and policy-makers, by raising a horizontal, issue-focused, platform that reflects the need of present and future policy making.

EEIP 2011 work focuses on two areas: industrial heat recovery and financing of energy efficiency, with eco-design of industrial process in preparation for 2012.  

EEIP operates through its unique mix of events, expert consortium's, round-tables and conferences, with personalized social media tools. It uses communication, engagement and best practice exchange tools to enable industry and policy to achieve its sustainability and energy security goals while enhancing industrial competitiveness at the same time.

Mumbai Smiles

Mumbai Smiles was founded in 2005 by Spanish journalist and writer Jaume Sanllorente. He started a peaceful struggle against poverty, a struggle that has today been taken up by a growing team of dedicated individuals.  Over the years, the organization has flourished in its work and, today, engages with thousands of people through multiple projects.

Their mission is to transform the social reality of underprivileged in Mumbai to guarantee their access to their basic human rights & a dignified life. They aspire to see a Mumbai free of poverty & social injustice, whereby all its citizens can equally enjoy the most basic human rights. The foundation works on the values of justice, neutrality, transparency and consistency with principles of commitment, unity, participation & enthusiasm.

KALPAVRISHK

KALPAVRIKSH is a non profit organisation working on environmental and social issues. The group began in 1979 with a campaign led by students to save Delhi's Ridge Forest. They work on local, national and global levels and are based in Delhi and Pune. Kalpavriksh believes that a country can develop meaningfully only when ecological sustainability and social equity are guaranteed, and a sense of respect for, and oneness with nature and fellow humans is achieved.

Throughout the years, KALPAVRISHK has led many awareness campaigns, and done research on environment development issues. KALPAVRISHK has taken many strong positions on environmental issues and have even resorted to street demonstrations and protest letters as a means of highlighting those issues. 

KALPAVRISHK did detailed studies of the impacts due to the building of the Narmada projects as well as carried out investigations into the police firing that happened in Bharatpur bird reserve.  With its strong stands on many important environmental issues, the NGO has ensured that environmental concerns are echoed and steps taken to protect the environment.

Parinamika


Parinamika, is a Non-Profit organization aimed at Social Causes. It’s a student led Social Activism group that resonates the voice of the people of India. Parinamika was founded by Adoksh Shastry- a student at the School of Law, Christ University Bangalore. It currently has 19 founding members.

Parinamika aims at Social change. Its objective is to resonate with the voice of the people to bring about effective results. It is a student run Social activism group and has its motto as ‘Resulting in Change’. Parinamika fights for the change that may be Social, Moral, Legal or Ethical. 

The Organization functions on the ideals of educative results and proactive movement. Its objective is to voice the youth's opinion and create an impact on society. Its mission is to enhance Youth Participation in Societal Development and to produce strong and committed youth leaders for the nation with a history of having positively impacted society.

PUNYA’11

PUNYA’11, an initiative by NGO TAMMANA spreads the age old Indian message of giving i.e. “the DAAN”.  In their own words it ought’s to bridge the gap between the seeker & the feeder. So this winter gear up for the social drive to help the needy.

TAMMANA promises to make PUNYA’11 bigger and more productive then its earlier two versions. PUNYA is an effort to make an everlasting impact in lives of who are less fortunate.

PUNYA’11 is a 12 hour Truck Rally on the Christmas Day from 9am to 9pm covering Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula’s roadside vendors, construction sites, rickshaws stands and slums. Volunteers and members will donate clothes, toys, footwear, dry ration and household items.

The Happy Hands Foundation is an innovative fair trade, not-for-profit organization increasing economic opportunities for artisans and craftsmen in India and empowering them to bring about changes in their lives, their families and communities.

Happy Hands Foundation has impacted the lives of more than 500 artisan families, allowing them an income base from craft-work. Losing these crafts would mean losing an important part of our culture...most of it unexplored, unappreciated.
