Su Swapn, named after late Suvarna Mishra, came into existence on 18thJune, 2011. Suvarna Mishra was a young energetic girl who was brutally murdered by her cousin. Her humble and generous nature was the motivation which drove her parents and friends to open a NGO dedicated in fulfilling Suvarna’s dream of a society free from evils like female foeticide, girl backwardness, corruptionand pollution. Su Swapn strives to help physically challenged and homeless people.
Their first project, conducted under the guidance of Maa Sarojini Agarwal, provided trunks, books and school bags to the orphan girls. The members of Su Swapn donated blood at civil hospital and distributed clothes to the destitute in the Lucknow city. They also donated baby kits and diapers to Vardan Shishu Grih in the city.
In future Su Swapn looks forward to conduct and organize various blood donation & medical camps, sponsoring education of poor girl child and organizing city cleansing drives.
Su Swapn is the youngest NGO to feature in News Not Making News.
